Im feeling it! As soon as its textured Ill start making a new weapon class to put it ingame. The SFX is already in place for it, just a matter of tweaking all the flares etc. Btw Bo, I used a quick placeholder shell model for the last post, and since your the expert on guns, could you make me shells for our weapons?
If you can get away with just using a Max material with high specular that would save up texture space :) But I dont know how much better it could look with actual textures.
Yeah for the bullet shells you don't need a diffuse or specular map. Just a material in 3ds max with a basic color and high specular will do. Perhaps a small normal map will be nice though.
Anyway dude you're the man! This is splendid. I can see some small normal errors, but nothing that a little patching up in Photoshop can't handle. I say GO GO for texturing and animating!

Thanks guys, and to think this was the first run on the bake, almost no patching was done to the map. Explode bake rocks, experiment was a succes :).
