  1. Technical notification for all modelers: Each additional triangle you put in your model results in it being rendered 4 times per frame (with Deferred rendering) and computed once more for each bullet flying around the scene...

    Make each triangle count ;)

    Quick example. I guess the tiny black hole on top is about 20 triangles. Rendered 4 times. 80 triangles. Assuming we have about 8 of them in our scene in close proximity with bullets flying around close enough for them to require computation. It's yet another 160 triangles per frame, adding more with each bullet flying around. All this for a detail easily replaceable by a tiny normal map detail or even diffuse only.
